Nupur and Rajesh Talwar gets life imprisonment

Finally here comes justice for Aarushi. Amidst all the pleas and speculation, the keepers of law have sentenced her murderer parents - Nupur Talwar and Rajesh Talwar to life term imprisonment.

The sentence comes after five and a half year long years of wait, two long trials and double conviction.
A special CBI Court announced the quantum of punishment for Rajesh and Nupur Talwar at 4.30 this evening. The Talwars were found guilty for the murder of their teenaged daughter Aarushi and their domestic help Hemraj at their home on the intervening night of May 16-17, 2008. The verdict was purely based on circumstantial evidence.

"Defence counsel Tanvir Mir countered CBI's argument and said the evidence against his clients were weak and sought leniency for Talwars. The arguments lasted just five minutes before the judge handed the quantum of sentence.

The Talwar couple were additionally sentenced for five years of jail term for destruction of evidence and Rajesh for another one year for filing wrong FIR with police.

Talwars will appeal to a higher court. Both have been taken to jail.

Nupur, Rajesh Talwar announced guilty in Aarushi murder case

The verdict is finally out on Aarushi murder case!

A special cell of CBI court in Ghaziabad has announced Rajesh and Nupur Talwar – the 13-year-old slain girl's parents guilty of the twin murders. The verdict came today at late afternoon.
The dentist couple have been booked under IPC section 302, section 201 and 34.


Aarushi's father Rajesh Talwar has been further booked under IPC section 203 for registering wrong FIR at Noida's Sector 20 police station. The quantum of punishment will be announced tomorrow.

The couple has been taken into custody and will be sent to Ghaziabad's Dasna jail.

No sooner he verdict came out, the couple broke down in the court.

Imran Khan Gori Tere Pyaar Mein Movie Review and Rating

There is no denying that youthful romcoms are the order of the day. And Punit Malhotra's 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' is an attempt in that very direction. His new movie is candy floss at its best - it's fresh, frothy and romantic. The only problem is Punit's romcom is devoid of any love or laughter. It's drab, unconvincing and absolutely unimpressive. With this movie, it's clear that the former assistant of Karan Johar - Punit Malhotra has learned nothing from his previous dud 'I Hate Love Story'.

Story

The movie is all about Sriram Venkat (Imran Khan), a young architect and his struggle to win his love, Dia (Kareena Kapoor), a passionate, strong-headed, young activist from Delhi.While Sriram is a laidback chap, Dia is a go-getter, out to change the world. And that's where they clash.

Venkat's attraction towards Dia starts with physical and then gets emotional and eventually veers into complex territories resulting in a clash of ideologies and mindsets that drives them apart, bitterly.
Over time, Sriram realizes that he can't get over Dia. But Dia has moved on and is now in an obscure village in Gujarat called Jhumli. How far will Sriram go to win back his love? Will Sriram and Dia live “happily ever after”?

Analysis :

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is a half-baked attempt of director Punit Malhotra. Neither the cast nor the script has anything interesting to offer. It's pretty much lame in terms of screenplay and and direction.

The music is peppy and some of the songs have been choreographed well.

Performance :

Imran Khan fits his role to the T as a posh angrez. Talking about his acting, well he only does three things in the movie – sleepwalks, use his eyebrows to emote or take to his RayBans to make up for his lack of performance.

Kareena Kapoor Khan as the feisty Dia Sharma crusades for every small thing. How she manages to fight for issues and still look million dollars is anybody’s guess. Possibly that’s why she thinks that building a bridge can put an end to a village’s problems for good.
Newbies Shraddha Kapoor and Esha Gupta are part of grander scheme of things, but their contributions go amiss in the messy affair.

Final Word:
Go if you have nothing else to do over the weekend. Giving it a skip too won't hurt.

Story

In the film Saranjit Singh Talwar(Sunny Deol) is an honest collector out to reform socity. He is upright and takes pride in his honesty, he loves his family and is ready to do things that are morally right. The central theme of "Singh Saab The Great" is “Badla Nahin, Badlav”. Saranjit's honesty is not acceptable to Bhoodev Singh (Prakash Raj), leading to clashes with him. Ultimately, Saranjit is framed in a case and accused of bribery. He decides to fight the injustice and widescale corruption not by revenge but by reforming society. Saranjit believes that there is nothing great in revenge but the challenge lies in forgiving.

Analysis :

"Singh Saab The Great" is filled with drama, action, comedy, emotions and romance. Sunny Deol as Saranjit Singh Talwar gives a thunderous performance that will be appreciated by audience. Like all his( Sunny Deol) previous hits the film has some thunderous dialogues like, “Sardar jab dushman ko pakad leta hai na, toh uski hadiyaan thadthadaane lagti hain…thad… thad… thad..”. The killer dialogue is of course, “Lekin tum sab ke liye toh mera haath hi kaafi hai.” The message of the movie 'change not revenge' is appealing. Newcomer Urvashi Rautela is refreshing and looks promising. Even Amrita Rao gives a good performance. The evil character portrayed by Prakash Raj looks convincing. The rest of the cast has done a good work for the movie.

Performance :

Sunny Deol gives a thunderous performance as the honest collecter. It is bound to be appreciated by audience. Newcomer Urvashi Rautela is refreshing and looks promising. Even Amrita Rao gives a good performance. The evil character portrayed by Prakash Raj looks convincing. The rest of the cast has done a good work for the movie.

Final Word:
Overall a good movie and can be watched in a theatre. Especially recommended for audience who love patriotic films.
