Story :
Vishwas Rao, played by our actor cum comedian cum dancer Shahid Kapoor, is a upcoming (read wannabe) film star. In a twist of fate, his fake cop antics lead people to take him for a real cop, leading him into a tornado of adventures. Oh, he fights, and how he fights. The happy go lucky Vishwas ensures he beats up the goons with not a single scratch to protect his looks. His mother, played by Padmini Kolhapure, wants him to be an honest, respected cop, leading the actor hopeful on a roller coaster imitation of Sallu, Akshay and Ajay Devgan in their Dabaang type of roles. Along the way he meets 'complaint Kajal' who eternally stands up for the female cause by pestering the cops for justice. The social worker, played by Ileana, is always lodging complaints with the reluctant police, and that's how she gets drawn into Vishwas' fake cop routine.
Trouble starts when the truth comes tumbling out. The mother and son have to sort out their misunderstandings and give us a happy ending.
Analysis :
Shahid
Kapoor and his tomfoolery makes you fall out of your seat laughing. Far
from being over the top, his antics are the highlight of the movie,
never failing to keep you in splits. He has a multitude of expressions
to show and still manages to make you experience the same with him. If
comedy is your thing, you would enjoy it to the core.
However, those who cannot make sense of spontaneous comedy will not find anything amusing. Even then, you may find yourself giving up unwillingly to a few chuckles. Dance choreography for Pahata Poster Nikhla Hero has been done beautifully, allowing Shahid maximum leverage to display his already appreciated skills further.
There are a lot of twists and turns as the fake cop takes his journey forward with mirth and amusement. Beyond the first half of the film, the director gives way to much emotion, making you feel lost for a bit. The tempo rises and then falls. Some of the fights too, though funny, are no comparison to the Rowdy Rathores and Singhams. Still, plenty of one liners keep you asking for more.

Performance :
Shahid
stole the show with his 'I'm too funny' characterization. What could
have ended up as too much on the plate was handled decently by the
actor, who shone throughout the movie. Ileana looks very beautiful in
the songs and performed well in the few emotional scenes. Beyond that,
however, she looks a little uncomfortable. The lead actors' chemistry
was crammed into a couple of songs and we don't get to see anymore
between them.
Padmini Kolhapure was lovely in her mother character. Salman Khan's cameo, poking fun at himself, is another bright spot of the film. As for the rest, the movie's dialogue writer should get more credit as they too steal the show along with the crazy Shahid Kapoor.
Final Word:Phata Poster Nihkla Hero
makes for the perfect outing to the theaters to catch Shahid at his
funniest. He certainly makes an endearing impression. For the comedy
lovers, here is another one that lets you have a wonderful, ROFL worthy
time.Padmini Kolhapure was lovely in her mother character. Salman Khan's cameo, poking fun at himself, is another bright spot of the film. As for the rest, the movie's dialogue writer should get more credit as they too steal the show along with the crazy Shahid Kapoor.
